Fit Tips

Think "Activity" not "Exercise" and boost
your weight loss If the thought of exercise makes you
groan, it may be time to take a fresh look at what it means to be
active. Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to speed
your weight-loss progress. It supports health in a number of important
and surprising ways, from reducing your risk of degenerative diseases
to helping improve mood.
Let's take a look at what constitutes "exercise" and
how easily you can ensure your daily need for physical activity
without ever having to face an aerobics class or lift a dumbbell.
What's your activity level?
Some are classified as athletes, training and competing regularly.
Others are active and fit, enjoying sports leisurely at the gym,
perhaps playing a weekly game of tennis or golf. And then there
are those who do not participate in structured sports, but who are
active in daily life. They may run around after children, bike to
work or walk long distances at their job. For many Herbalife Distributors,
simply managing a home life and building the business keeps their
activity levels high.
Exercise your right to good health
Even though we know it's good for us, the bottom line is many of
us don't want to exercise. The good news from the scientific community
is you don't have to! Experts now insist there is another way to
stay fit. They encourage us to incorporate at least 30 minutes of
accumulated physical activity into our daily routine. This can range
from taking stairs to gardening, doing laundry to parking at the
far end of the parking lot and walking to your destination. Doing
such activities, like exercising regularly, can encourage weight
loss and help you enjoy many of the following health rewards:
- reduce the risk of premature death
- reduce the risk of heart disease
- reduce the risk of diabetes
- reduce the risk of high blood pressure
- reduce susceptibility to depression and anxiety
- help control body weight
- help build and maintain bones, muscles, joints, and balance
- promote physical well-being
- maintain muscle mass which is proven to support function and
longevity
The truth is that all physical activity helps us maintain muscle mass,
burn fuel and achieve a healthier body weight. Losing excess weight
and achieving a low percentage of body fat not only enhances appearance
and self-esteem, but can also protect our good health for years to
come. Now that's something worth getting active about! |
